Faith no more content. How do I make such sweet love butter come from my speakers?

So far I have...
3 band eq= bass boost+5/10, mid cut-6/10, high cut-1/10
Play light with fingers close to the neck.
I will post a sound clip tomorrow with this and see if you can tell what bass I am using.

I'd just cut my highs a bit (just on the bass, perhaps), use my neck pickup with a little bridge mixed in, and play right over the neck pickup.

You're probably going to need to get some flat wound strings and put some playing time on them, I'm really sure that is not the sound of fresh round wound strings.

I currently have a 5 month old pair of round wounds on my Musicman. I think I may have to keep the Jazz and get some new pups and flatwounds.

Sigh... I love the new crisp sound for some things. For others....ya just need the dead tone.

Sounds like a jazz bass with the tone rolled off to me.
