Spengler! (my band)

Well, we did some recording today, thought I would post up one of the songs.

Firstly, i'd like to point out this is a demo version of the song only.

I know these points are wrong with it:

Drums - Are generally not quite loud enough (only very slightly too quiet, mainly the toms, bass and snare), the cymbals are cutting through alot more than anything else, this has been sorted in another recording that isnt finished yet.

Bass - Isnt quite loud enough either (again, very slightly too quiet), it sits well, but id like it to cut a bit more aswell, I also made a mistake on that recording, but, its not that noticable

Guitar - Pretty much alright.

Vocals - A mess, this is the first time our singer (guitarist) has had to do anything like this, and, well, he was a bit on the nervous side, and a tad (more than a tad) too close to the mic, he needs to level off his voice a tad more too.

Also, the name of the song isnt really set in stone, its just what we were throwing about the "office" .
But, if there are any other problems you guys can hear in this song, I'd be glad to take some constructive critisism.

This song could be seen as offensive, before anyone complains that I didnt warn them! It has some swearing in it. Its also of the Punk Rock genre

This was recorded in a bedroom, but, trying to get the best quality possible with what was availible!

Thanks for your time guys

Sounds like punk should. Too much polish and it starts to stray from it's roots. I dig it.

Peace,
Adam

well the bass, guitar, and drums definitely sounded like punk should. If the vocalist was more confident, however, I think he could sound a lot like the singer from the Dead Kennedys.

Cheers guys

Im sure our vocalist will appreciate the DK comment! Its the first time he's had to do vocals while not playing guitar and with everything going at once, im sure he'll get used to it tho

Thanks again guys!
