if you look how low both hammet and james have it, the basses probaly are roberts

Like Derek Smalls comment "On Bass, Kirk Hammet, Metallica. On Bass, James Hetfield, Metallica. Robert Trujillo, On real Bass, Metallica" there is alot of other guys there to, a few famous ones.

*says the third madonna band member*
"Eventually everyone have done Madonna"

its from live earth btw.. happened yesterday.

There is plenty of guys who have never played bass before there just count the "one finger players"..

Leave it to Spinal Tap to get the most Bas s on stage.

The Police were pretty cool...liked John Mayer on Message in a Bottle...Kayne West was a bit out of his league.

Interesting the way that Sting played...was using thumb and first two fingers...first two fingers were much louder and easier to hear.

Hilarious. Here's the point of the joke (remember that ST is a spoof of the whole rock star biz):

Just about every benefit concert ends with some kind of "all-star jam" finale with a gajillion guitarists onstage and... ONLY ONE BASS PLAYER. So ST brings out a couple dozen!

This was comedic genius and the best part is that joke was intended specifically for us! To everyone else it was just kind of goofy.

I was laughing my ass off at the sight of twenty-odd bass players "jamming". Too funny...

It seemed like only one bass was really being played... in that one clip where some guy was soloing, he was not audible at all.

Again, as they say "Mr. Robert Trujillo, Actually on Bass" (Though i suspect him not to be plugged in as i cant hear his "solo"..)

May sounds like not everybody is plugged in..

There is one guy i hear that does alot more fills than the other guys, i feel it might be the Spinal Tap Guitarist afterwhat i see.

What's the problem with Hammett and Hetfield playnig bass? Nigel and David play bass on that song, so it's on-limits for heavy metal guitar players to play bass on it.

I thought the bassist with the EBMM looked familiar.

BTW, anyone knows anything about the single neck version of the BC Rich double neck the bassist played this song in the mockumentary?

I was at the Live Eath Gig, it sounded bloody good live when ST brough them all out. They're set was superb, dancing goth girls, midgets running around, a mini replica of Stonehenge, then the huge bass-a-thon. Great stuff
