I think it's a great album, I just picked it up tonight, massive impulse buy on my part. I've never heard "The Black Album," so I have no basis for comparison really to the originals. This album has a reggae version of Flower People, and a really funky version of sex farm, plus two "Jazz Odysseys." 13 tracks are "reinterpreted" originals, and 6 are new. I think they did a good job. Do yourself a favor and give this a listen. |
