Last week as i was in the beautiful city of perth, i came across a new record store.

for those who live in perth, the store is next to joynt venture in the city.

as i was perusing the small collection of secondhand vinyl (the store only recently opened) i stumbled across a gem.

Jaco Pastorius
this is a compilation of jaco songs including

Side 1
1 Donna Lee
2 Come on, Come over
3 Continuum
4 Kuru/ Speak Like a Child
5 Portrait of Tracy

Side 2
1 Opus Pocus
2 Okonkole y Trompa
3 (used to be a) Cha Cha
4 Forgotten Love

I picked this vinyl up in the rarities/oddities section in mint condition and for only $5aus.

Oh Yeah!

Banging album! I know that one has certainly been quite a "life changer" for a few people.

As I recall, that album was my first introduction to Jaco, listen often and enjoy!

You should also look for Pat Metheny's 1976 release 'Bright Size Life' - Jaco does some great playing on that one too.
