Depends on what you like musically. That's a pretty big gap between genres.
The only one I don't know is Furthur... Sounds familiar.
BTBAM newest release is amazing, the bass is fantastic.
Haven't heard Opeth's newest one yet, should be solid and epic. Mikael is my favorite death metal singer of all time. Excellent clean vocals as well.
Dream Theater never really did it for me.
I like Clutchs old stuff.
Battles is pretty "indie" but they are pretty cool Don Cab is a beast.
I like all of Mastodon's stuff, the new one isn't my favorite. Hard to follow up Crack the Skye.
I say BTBAM or Mastodon.

Based on the entire catalogue, I'd say you should check out Opeth first. They grew and changed the most and I love the dark, dreary tunes with the melancholy clean vocals as much as I like the heavy ones that have Cookie Monster singing.

Dream Theater has a few great albums but filler and wankery abounds. Acquired taste.

Mastodon strike me as flailing a bit (like trying too hard?), though I like them just fine. Well, their drummer bugs me, but otherwise, they're very cool.
