Standard Fender Neck: Which Tunes Use Every Fret?

Sign in to disble this ad
Part of what appeals to me about 4 bangers (as opposed to 6'ers..) is that it forces you to move up and down the neck to get the job done.

I was just reading another post about Sir Duke, and it reminded me of "The Real Me" since I need to use the 20th fret on that tune as well.

So other than Sir Duke, and The Real Me... which tunes get you all the way up to that Eb on the G string? I love how in "Real Me" he uses every inch of the neck in the first 15 seconds of the song.

Lets try to challenge ourselves and keep it to recordings most common mortals have heard, not super-arcane inside-baseball bassist-only-for-other-bassists records.

12th fret? Close but no cigar... I want to get all the way up to 20!

Thanks though.

Teen Town uses the 17th, but that's as high as it goes.

Play it an octave up on alternate measures and you are at 24.
