Ronald is indeed the man! One of the first things that hit me about "The Toys of Men" was how brilliant the drumming is!

The one thing I don't hear in the clip tho is any music at all.
The playing I don't think is "Great" either...I haven't heard the album YET.

I saw Messrs. Clarke and Bruner jr. at the Jazz Cafe (London) last year, and I can honestly say the guy is THE best drummer I've ever experienced. He reminds me of Billy Cobham, which is the highest praise I can give.

There is no doubt that RBJ is going to be a name if he keeps performing like this! I am absolutely joyous just to see these two guys making music!

Give a listen to the album, and I think you'll change your mind. It's very musical IMO.

I think I saw RBJ with the Clarke/Duke Project at the Clayton (MO.) Jazz Festival about two years ago. Clarke told the funny story about first meeting Brunner when he was kid who was dating his daughter. Brunner told him then that he was a drummer and wanted to play with him. Clarke made some quip about being happy that he got him away from his daughter and in his band.
