Anybody remember them? I saw them back in the late 70's when they opened for Peter Frampton. They sounded a lot like Yes, and their bass player was phenomenal.

I used to see them at the clubs outside Chicago. They were singer Terry Luttrell's project after leaving REO Speedwagon. I thought the bass was thin and piercing. People trying to copy early Chris Squire missed the mark a lot.

I remember them well. Sound was highly derivative of Yes, circa "The Yes Album". Good stuff. But Yes did it first...

I heard about Starcastle when I was very into prog, found their self titled album at a flea market once and took a listen. Musicianship was good, but the music was unremarkable to me.
