Stax & Volt Revue Norway 1967

So I'm sittin' there surfin' the tube and see Stax & Volt Revue Norway 1967. Yeah, cool I say.

So I tune in and what do I see? Booker T. & the MG's doin' Green Onions. Yeah cool! It's all there, Cropper, Duck Dunn, Al Jackson on the drums and Booker T. jammin away. The video quality? Well for 1967, pretty darn good. The audio? I can hear the bass & then some.

What's even better, I can see the bassist doing what Duck Dunn does so well. And not just occasional clips, but again & again. The musicians are as much a part of this recording as the artists: Otis Redding, Aurthur Conley, Sam & Dave & Eddie Floyd.

It's all good. Got it on Amazon for about $10.00.

What a rhythm section - it's amazing. I love seeing Duck and Steve playing through the rented Marshalls. Between the 2 amps you can see the old Fender guitar and bass cases lying on the floor. Love it!
