That's why I suggested Tim Garland and his band who are already touring a project which is looking at arrangments in the style of SD.
I think if they came to Britain they would be looking at UK Jazz musicians on a par with Chris Potter and Tim Garland fits that bill.
Plus UK Jazz musicians do fit in with any style of music and are fantastic readers, who will play any chart/any style that is put in front of them.
So for example - John Paricelli is a great UK Jazz guitarist who plays original Jazz with people like Kenny Wheeler - but has also written film scores (Cpatain Corelli's Mandolin) and I saw him on the live TV band that played for Strictly Come Dancing on the BBC!!
That's the sort of versatility that would make him ideal over a "name" rock star!
