Steve Khan, Anthony Jackson & Dennis Chambers Live CD

Sign in to disble this ad
In 1994, while touring Europe, a live performance of Steve Khan,
Anthony Jackson and Dennis Chambers was recorded. The recording took
place as part of a live radio broadcast for WDR as the trio performed
at Stadtgarten Club in Köln, Germany. This recording is about to be
released as a CD. Anthony's work with Steve Khan is among my favorites
of his discography, so I'm quite excited about it. You can pre-order
the CD from Amazon, but CDuniverse is selling it $4 cheaper - i.e. for
$15.98
Here's the link:

You can also read what Steve has to say about it here:

Wouldn't it be nice to hear Steve, Anthony & Dennis live today??

Cheers,

Jim

You're very welcome but the thanks truly belong to another party who shall remain nameless.

OK, enuff, Charles...
You know...I got in "trouble" for a boot I bought of "Live in Koln 1994".
I am a bit of a Wally Cleaver so when I did a phone order (pre-Internet for me) & was told "...we have a very limited supply of an ultra-rare Steve Khan Eyewitness live thing", I jumped & splurged for the 3-CD-R set as my Xmas gift to me. Trust me, it was not cheap.

Couple years later, I get online & blab/brag about the set at some Jazz site (the now defnked Jazz Central Station)...day or so later, I get pinged via e-mail by Steve Khan. He seemed a bit curious about me having something that he didn't recall releasing.
At Khan's website, he tells the story of hearing about the boot from a fan in Japan; I had about the same experience....Steve is pretty cool (he only busted my chops so much for calling some of Arrows "disco-fied" Funk).

Well, I did I learn that "very limited supply" + "ultra-rare" = BOOT!
Honestly, these were the very 1st CD-Rs I had ever seen: I recall thinking, "...wow, Germany uses blue material for cds".
Whadda jackass, huh?

This stuff is Anthony at his best. Some truly unique, creative playing. Like nobody else. You guys are going to blown away. And Dennis Chamber and Steve Khan ain't bad either.
