Got this album about a month back and it's great. There's not much talk about Steve outside of his forum, so I thought I'd mention it here. It's all looped solo bass (with the exception of one vocal track), but the great thing about it is that most of it doesn't sound like "looped" music. The transitions he can make with the new Looperlative looper (which can instantly make things reverse, adjust feedback, etc.) and his effects make for layers of sound more than loops. Very deep, mellow stuff. I really like it- check out the sound samples on his site. |
