Stimpy Lockjaw- "Demented Groove Jazz"

Hey all, new member of TalkBass, but I've been reading the forums for a while.

Wanted to introduce everybody to a new band I'm in of some original music.

We just recorded a four track demo that anyone can listen to or download on http://www.myspace.com/stimpylockjaw

If you don't like myspace, we're also on http://soundclick.com/stimpylockjaw

We would love some feedback, and I'm happy to answer any questions about what we do, the gear we use, and anything else.

Thanks for listening.

Sounds really cool. Reminds me a lot of Hiromi Uehara, avant-garde and bizarre at times but locks and grooves like nothing else. I'd say more but it's 3AM and I just wanna download this, lol. Where can I download from? I don't see any links on myspace.

Also Mikeforz, how do you guys come up with the compositions? Does one person do all of them, or is it a collaborative effort?

Thanks guys, my bass's body is a Fender Ash Jazz with Fender P pickups in the neck position. Maybe Bartolini P's one day. Badass II bridge and Maple Warmoth P neck. Strung with Black Fender Nylon Tapewounds. Not the best nylon strings but they feel great and I like them with the Precision pickup.

We've been together a few months, but we all started playing together in our last year of college. We all played with each other in other stuff throughout our time at school but it wasn't till senior year till we came together for this group specifically.

I wrote Hot and Cold, and Kevin the keyboardist wrote the other 3 songs. The guitarist Nick and I used to have a trio where he wrote most of the music, and we've been taking those songs and re-arranging them with the addition of the keyboard, so that'll be coming soon.

Zach's also been writing. The tunes kinda come from us individually but we all kinda have the same sound in mind for this group.

Nick also has an amazing metal band which he writes all the music for, so if you guys are into metal you should DEFINITELY check them out. http://www.myspace.com/everforthright

Glad you guys like our stuff!
