I thought I heard that his bass was custom made - any truth?

And what a tasty bass line. Great phrasing and soooo melodic.

THANKS SO MUCH FOR THE LETTER. LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT THAT ORLANDO BASS. RIGHT BEFORE STP GOT SIGNED I WORKED AT A GUITAR SHOP ON SUNSET BLVD THAT WAS GOING OUT OF BUSINESS. THE JAPANESE OWNER HAD A BUNCH OF REALLY QUIRKY SIXTIES AND SEVENTIES STYLE GUITARS AND BASSES THAT I HAVE ALWAYS BEEN ATTRACTED TO. I SAW THAT ORLANDO AND HE GAVE IT ME FOR A HUNDRED DOLLARS. IT WAS PROBABLY THE BEST HUNDRED DOLLARS I EVER SPENT ON AN INSTRUMENT.THAT BASS WAS NOT ONLY USED FOR THE UNPLUGGED BUT WENT ON TO BE USED ON ALOT OF STP SONGS. BIG EMPTY, ATLANTA, HELLO IT'S LATE(one of my favorites) BI POLAR BEAR(outro only) AND A SONG FOR SLEEPING. MAN IT'S BEEN GOOD TO ME.

can't see it viacom took it off like every other thing uploaded is taken off because of copyrights though no one who uploads a video (not their's) is alright though
