I have just been getting into this Melvins record recently and I am loving the bass sound.

Does anybody have any idea about Mark Deutrom's gear? He gets such an awesome sound.

I have been going through a Mevlins phase for the last year or two.

I don't have much to offer in terms of gear, beyond that the liner notes list Buzzo as playing bass in addition to guitar and vocals, and Mark is listed as playing "Fender bass."

In the video it looks like he is using a P Bass of some kind. I assume he is using roundwounds from the growl on some of the songs.

There is an 8X10 behind him in the video but it does not look like there is a head and there is an 8X10 behind the guitarist so it might not mean anything. Then again I have heard that Buzz uses bass amps sometimes.
