How do I get this tone?! It's awesome. Sounds like a tiger being poked with a stick! haha. P bass into crankd Ampeg SVT? Or is it a Hi-Watt or Orange or something other than a 'peg?

It was a Hiwatt 200w amp with various cabs.... either two 4x12 guitar cabs or a bass cab 'the size of a door'. He also blew speakers and didn't bother replacing them.

If you look up the Stranglers on the Wiki site, they say he used Rotosound 66's for the P bass, and the 'signature' tone from Ratus Norvegicus album was 'studio' done. and he plays with a pick.
I can get near to the sound with my Jazz bass.
