I guess this goes here, but if not.. Mods please move it.
So I've fallen in love with this group as of recent. They're really unique (at least imho), and I've been trying to decide how to describe them. I'm finally come up with it. They have an old school sound, like 'classic' rock sound with a more modern but the lyrics are meaningful unlike most classic rock (this the song "rock you like a hurricane" or something like that).
Some may comment that I wasn't around then so I can't comment on classic rock. But this is my view.
Comments or whatever?

LOVE the basslines. I know Nik is one of those "didn't play bass until the band needed me to" guys, but sometimes those cats come up with some of the most inventive lines. |

I think James Murphy said they were a good "BBQ band", which describes them perfectly, those two albums are practically made to be played at a summer barbecue. Not a bum track between them.

Though I do like they keys more cause I'm a HUGE blues fan, from an indie perspective these guys are my favorite. |

| | | | garage rock revival, with some alt-ish influence. unfortunately, their new album, while good, is not particularly in line with the type of music they've released previously, and so I label it Indie. (all IMO, course.)
all in all, an excellent band. listen to Someday.
