This is a recent tune from the studio with my latest group, it was written by the pianist. It's kind of a rough mix but let me know what you think. Everything was recorded live. http://www.myselfalone.com/tracks/Ki...discope-01.mp3
*Thanks James Hart*
Kevin Gastonguay - Piano
Jay Augspurger - Drums
Trevor Peterson - Bass

But, my subwoofer was kinda "overpowered" (I don't know how to describe it) by the bass/kick drum. It was at normal volume, and I listen to music at this volume always. Well, might be me anyways.
But it's great. My parameter: It surprised me. If it surprises me I like it.

| | | | Thanks guys, here's the story on the mix;
A recording student needed a group on short notice to throw together a few songs for his final project. We were offered the spot and went in saturday and recorded a few tunes for him which he then mixed and gave me yesterday. The mix was borderline unlistenable (extremely compressed, tons of reverb, couldn't hear the bass at all), so I got the raw tracks from him and when I got home I made a quick rough mix of my own. They will be mixed by someone who knows what they are doing soon hopefully, I just through something together quick so I could have something halfway decent to listen to.

I have a few other tunes from that session but they sound awful right now, when I get the final mixes I'll try to get them up. |
