I been listening to alot of bob marley and the wailers and also weather report lately.

I'm really getting into reggae and latin style music, people please suggest some artists or bassist to search for and get into

Latin-Jazz...Jerry Gonzalez & The Fort Apache Band w/Andy Gonzalez on bass.

Latin-style music done in an energetic Pop-Rock vibe...early Santana (1st 3 albums).

Lincoln Goines has co-authored a book called Funkifying The Clave for Drums & Bass...check out some of the recordings he's played on (e.g. Dave Valentin...maybe Live At The Blue Note).

You can hear Anthony Jackson doing some Latin-style stuff with Michel Camilo & 'El Negro'.
