Anyone else got this album yet? I'm currently loving it and actually going to do my final project in band about it! It stinks that it is near impossible to tour with the full line-up though, drone with choir and horns and Atilla and upright basses = *drool* Just seeing the two of them would be so awesome though! If only...

CD is ****ing awesome. They're going to be touring the US... It's not a straight run, just certain areas, certain months.

SUNN O))) "Monoliths & Dimensions" tours 2009

Midwest USA July 2-12
West coast USA August 5-11
East coast/Southeast USA September 18-30
Middle & East Europe/Scandinavia October 17 - Nov 1st

Really hoping they come to Chicago.

Yeah, they're playing the Grimrobe Demos right? Hoping they hit CO! My point was that they won't be able to play stuff from the new album, maybe Hunting and Gathering with synth horns and Atilla, but that wouldn't be the same .

The Grimrobe tours was something they did like two years ago I think.

In Europe, they are setting up a couple shows that will have all the acoustic instruments from M&D, but nothing like that for us in the US. They'll be touring as a 4 or 5 piece this time. So, I imagine the Sunn basics, guitar, guitar, bass, synth and vocals.

Never got this band. To each their own, I suppose.

interesting concept for a band. Just heard a few songs on youtube.

it's kinda boring [IMO] when its just the guitars thrumming away, but when they add the other sounds it's almost like a movie sound track at times.

the whisper guy kinda detracts from it I think.

Yeah, it's definitely not for everybody and I agree with you on some of the vocals, (Bathory and Aghartha are my vocal pet peeves). I kind of relax and come up with some pretty odd visuals to their music! For me it's like a good horror movie, they set the scene, and you come up with the rest!

edit: wow, no "Its shlow and dumb!? LAWL ****** musik!" comments yet, you guys are pretty awesome!
