Hey guys, just finished my first album with TACTUS A, a progressive math metal band.
It's called Mechanical Demons and is a semi concept album about human based robotics programmed to kill.

Here's what's contained in the readme:

============================================

Tactus A is a 3-piece experimental/math metal outfit featuring guitarist Jory, bassist David,
and vocalist Liam. The project started in early 2008 as an instrumental studio experiment
between David and Jory, which quickly expanded with the addition of Liam,
a solo-artist and vocalist. Their first studio release, Mechanical Demons, is a 6 track
semi-concept album dealing with human-based robotics

============================================

"Mechanical Demons" 41:50

01 "Dusk" 4:17
02 "Viperidae" 6:06
03 "Homeworld" 7:20
04 "The Android Codex [Part I]" 9:33
05 "The Android Codex [Part II]" 5:03
06 "The Android Codex [Part III]" 9:31

Written and recorded during the period of December 2008 through to September 2009.

Guitar: Jory
Bass: Dave
Vocals: Liam

Drums recorded via DrumkitFromHell, arranged in MIDI in GuitarPro.
All lyrics by Liam.

Downloading it now. Sounds great, very Sleepytime Gorilla like. Very creative & not what I expected (Hardcore Screaming Metal)

I love the changes and proglike nature of it. Much better than the new Porcupine Tree CD, I will definitely recommend this.

Geez, are these even comparable records??!! I don't think so.

I appreciate the direction of the 3 part suite, kinda reminds me of Sol Niger Within.... and some Dream Theater (must be the synths)

Dusk - sounds like a straight up Mudvayne song to me. meh

Viperidae - a bit herky jerky, end is more interesting.

Homeworld - Some Meshuggah in here, and a Periphery-esque center. Cool

To sum up, I appreciate the direction, but I don't really hear a cohesive sound that I can identify as Tactus A. But good effort, I look forward to hearing more of your stuff.
