Between The Lions - kiddy show about reading

Seriously rippin' bassline. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ubH4LDcKRyE

The end credits jam of Chico and the Man - Jose Feliciano - good old school bass.

Hmm...didn't know that. I still sit with my acoustic Michael Kelly and jam with those on re-runs.

My favorites are the same as the first couple of posts. For the record if you guys don't know, that is the great Chuck Rainey playing those bass lines on The Jefferson's and Sanford and son's themes. I'm not to sure who played on the Barney Miller theme.

Here is one not likely to be mentioned. As corny as it may sound, use your ears and listen in. I think it is some top notch bass playing and drumming supplied by Hal Blaine and Carol Kaye known as the "wrecking crew" Yes it is the closing credits from season 3 of the Brady bunch!

+1 on "Night Court"

I just listen to "CHIP" (yes that old Erik 'Poncherello' Estrada TV series years ago ) I think it's a very hip showcase for flatwound bass..
As for growly roundwound bass, it's "Cheers" theme song..yes I know t's been long time too..
but IMHO many TV Theme/Illustration/advertising esp. back then before the 'MIDI/Sampling Synth/Programmed/Computer music era' are really fantastic.... we know that 'the very very excellent' studio musicians (bass players) was behind them..

o yeah.... out of that many good old TV Themes, let me listen again to TAXI theme song ("Angela" by Bob James),....man,.. the song, the music, the sound, the bass playing is sooo damn good

Also don't forget James Jamerson bass on the "Starsky & Hutch" Theme (the old movie version)..

I don't know about their youtube link, but I have many of the TV Theme CD, I'm sure there's many downloadable in the internet.

I believe it was Jim Hughart.

The late Chuck Domanico played on the Cheers theme.

As schmaltzy as it is, I always thought the Love Boat Theme was fun to play (and sing).
