My jazz band played this in high school. I was playing tenor sax back then, and I remember the bass line being awesome, but our bassist at that time couldn't really handle it.
From what I can gather, it is called "Chicken Scratch" by Kris Berg. Searching for it on youtube just gave me a bunch of mediocre high school bands playing it, so it must have been written specifically for that age group.
It has one of the funkiest bass lines I've ever heard! Anyone have or know where to find sheet music or tabs? I must learn this.
I happen to still have a CD our band director gave us years ago with the commercial recording of Chicken Scratch on it, so I ripped it and uploaded for your enjoyment.
