Is There a Song You've Listened to More Than 3 Times...

...in the past week? Maybe a song you've just discovered and have to hear one more time?

Mine: "Tip of My Tounge" by the Tubes; early 1980's.

A reasonably funky groove with some nice horn charts by Jerry Hey. The big LA sessions musicians, like Nathan East and the members of Toto are in the album credits so who knows who really played on the track.

My music library isn't too huge, and I listen to it all the time... There's plenty of songs that I've listened to far more than three times in the past week

Yes. As I've posted here before, I'm a big fan of groups that emphasize melodic vocal harmonies. Everything from Mills Brothers, Andrew Sisters, Turtles, CSN, Eagles, America, Rockapella, Indigo Girls, etc. In that vien, there's a new Roches tune - not yet realeased but on their myspace site called "No Shoes". Great vocals, cute song, good message. No Shoes can be access from here:

BTW, for those of you near Chicago who are into this kind of music, The Roches will be appearing December, 3 2006 at Old Town School of Folk Music 4544 N. Lincoln Avenue, Chicago.

If I get a new CD or song, I'll listen to it for a week or two straight.

Loved that tune since Day 1...always made me think 'the Tubes doin' their impression of EW&F'.

I listen to some songs everyday...

It all changes per week though, sometimes I get bored of the same stuff.

Just bought John Mayer's Continuum and Roy Hargrove's Distractions. I won't be able to count how many times I've heard these CDs by the end of the week .

Tribalistas, the whole cd, easily twice a day for the last three weeks. Focus on the Velhia Infancia, Passe em Casa and Tribalistas tracks.

That and Marisa Monte's Infinito Particular, once a day, every day, and several songs multiple times.

I've listened to Thursday's new album, "A City by the Light Divided" about 6 times in a row now. With the occasional break to listen to the Raconteurs a couple times.
