Your vocals kinda reminded me of Cream-era Jack Bruce.

For the most part it seems to be the guitar thats all over the place. Maybe turn up a little and/or have your guitarist turn down, hes really overbearing. |

I'd look into getting a singer...

EQ/compress/limit/fx to your taste.
EQ/comp/limit the drums and bass to make them thicker in the mix.
EQ/comp/limit/fx or whatever you have to do to get that guitar track to blend with the newly EQed bass and drum.
EQ/comp/limit/fx the vocals into the mix.
Mix down.
EQ/comp the first mixdown to create the master.
The mix sounds ok but there needs to be some separation and placement of each part in the sound spectrum. Experiment. You can turn those tracks into a totally different finished product with some serious time behind the controls.
Keep the creative juices flowing. It sounds good. |

I'm actually going to school now for audio engineering, so as my knowledge of the subject grows, hopefully it will be reflected in my mixing/mastering ability (that's the plan, anyway). |

Unfortunately you can only put compressed audio files on myspace so that kind of sucks, but I think they're already sounding better. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
