Thump/pop sound when recording?

Sign in to disble this ad
I'm trying to record a tune for submission to the berklee summer program, but whenever I try to record anytime I play a note I get this odd popping thumping sound. I really don't want to send this off to Berklee, haha. I'm using a Dingwall ABZ, an Ampeg BA115t, and a decent mic into a Macbook, so I don't think its bad equipment. We have tried covering the microphone so that there's no air noise that gets into mic but it still didn't stop the noise. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

Also, its not audible from the amp, it just kind of comes out over the recording. I've tried recording from a camera too, and even it had the same thing.
