this may be old news..but did anyone realize how mary jane's last dance and danny california sound almost exactly the same? they have the same chord progression, same bass line, same rythm on the vocals...except the harmonica in mary jane is replaced with a vocal filler in danny california..

Cool, another opportunity to point out I don't think they sound that similar (the vocals and the bass line aren't similar at all, for example) and that I prefer Tom Petty's "version" (has a more relaxed feel to it in my opinion) whereas Dani California puts me to sleep.
