Check out audience video of my band's show last weekend. Toology - A Tribute to Tool performing "46 & 2". Best sounding vid I have heard of my band - need to find out who took it and what kind of camera! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G07km-fgec0
My gear:

You seem to have his tone copped quite nicely. I like it. Also, kudos on the balls it takes to cover Tool. That's no simple 12 bar blues, you know :P
the rest of your band is quite good too, I'm impressed!

| | | | Wow....one of the best tribs I have seen. You nailed JC, not easy. Your singer also nailed it. Very impressed. That's all, my compliments are used up for the day. I'm going back to being miserable. |

I would like the singer to either go all Maynard (standing back away from the band) or totally make it his own. He's a little too in the middle. But his voice! Awesome. Your bass tone is perfect I must add too. Only thing missing is that Wal! |

I'd like to see more covers of "4 degrees" or "Eulogy".

Peace out! | Sounds great!! I have a feeling you guys aren't playing very quietly, and there's not really any audio overdriving, so I'd guess that the camera is probably a Zoom Q3 or Q3 HD - they do an outstanding job recording video and hi-def audio, particularly at high SPL's. More on them here: Q3 Q3HD
They're also very small, so it's easy to carry them into a venue, set them up or walk around with them, etc. Fairly affordable, too!
