As far as metal goes, I think Børge Finstad is a good mixer and evenly distributes the sound. These are some of the bands he has done work for:
Mayhem, Borknagar, Tristania, Extol, Sadus, Winds, Arcturus, Ulver, Big Bang, Tritonus, Solefald, Âsmegin, Backstreet Girls, Carnivora.
