You need to be playing the intro lick too.A little more articulation would get you closer, and a little space between the triplets.

Agreed. Nice work on the triplets. Get the intro (and outtro) down - it's part of the song, and give each triplet a quick little mute between each to create that separation. Personally I do it by briefly lifting the fingers of my left hand between the sets of triplets.

Great song. I played this many many years ago in a hard rock cover band (back when it was current - give you a sense of how long ago). I still play it because its such a great workout. Both for the triplets and also for finger strength.

I love ALL Maiden

I agree, pretty reasonable attempt, of course you never said how long you been playing, how many times you listen to the trooper before rolling the camcorder, if you tabbed it or play-by-ear..etc...

Hey man - take all the criticism here as constructive. Remember, Steve Harris has amazing finger strength - something you get from years of playing those triplets for hours a day. To me, it seems like you've made some great progress. Keep practicing.

Hey, I've been playing about a year, home taught, I tabbed it out by ear, and honestly that was just the first time of recording after learning it earlier that morning, I don't really listen to Maiden, I was just looking for a song that had solid triplets throughout the song.
