Alabama Tunderpussy 'Open Fire' and The Sword 'Age of Winters.' These two CD's are some of the best stuff I've heard in awhile. Killer raw rock/metal/stoner music. And both bass players have great sounds.

Anyone checked em out or already know of em? I've listened to em for a while, but just now got the CD's. Between the two of em, I haven't listened to anything else since I got em.

I believe the correct term is "Thunderpussy"

Heh, anyways, yeah... heard them both. I don't understand why "The Sword" catch so much **** from the stoner rock crowd. I guess since they dress like Indie kids they can't play heavy ass stoner rock. To me, they sound like a pretty cookie cutter copy of Sleep though. AT are pretty cool, but I don't dig the heavy southern rock version of Stoner Rock.

There is a big thread about Stoner Rock in the recordings section, do a search, there are tons of fans on here.
