U2 on Letterman...

Love 'em or hate 'em, you can't deny the success and popularity of U2. Plus, they generally put on a great show

Anyway, I didn't know this but they have been on Letterman all week performing. you can see all the songs and the interviews/skits on cbs.com

The sound is pretty good, and you can hear Adam's playing very well. Side note, it looks like he is playing Aguilar cabs... I thought he was still using Ashdown .(Though I admit I don't obsessively follow who is using what gear)

Just a heads up for anyone who is interested.

I'm going to watch letterman tonight, so I might watch until the performance. I don't really like U2, but I respect Adam/Edge

Just finished watching all the performances, and I have to say, that his gold fender jazz sounded the best out of all of them.

I thought his white P-bass sounded the best, but it was a close call.

I'm sorry, but they really are a shadow of their former selves. It's almost like some trendy pop band trying to cop a U2 vibe, and failing.

that sounds like a comment from someone who is now just a shadow of their formal self. it's almost like some trendy, amature music critic who is trying to cop a Spin Music Critic vibe, and failing.

I liked the white Fender's sound as well. Is the gold jazz the Lakland DJ? What is the semi-hollow looking bass - same he used for "Boots" on the Grammys?
