Question Ummm...Someone Explain This To Me?

Sign in to disble this ad
For gits and shiggles I did a Google search on my name, and this site came up:
http://www.last.fm/user/franztd/

Does anyone have an explanation as to why my name and one of my songs is tied for 36 on the "Overall Top Tracks" section of this user? I've never posted my music anywhere other than on my website and on links to my website at TalkBass. How did it get there? Does this mean people have listened to it on some sort of online radio or something? It doesn't appear to be playable on their site or anything, so I have no clue how it would have received a rating from this guy. Anyone?

I have no idea, but they have your tune ranked ahead of Genesis, Brubeck and Hendrix! Heh heh...

Hmmmm.... I'm there too!

I think if someone downloads the last.fm client and then listens to a tune or video with your info, you get logged on that site.

The Last.fm-software registers any mp3 or wav or other music file you play and makes lists and charts over your taste. Apparently, someone has ripped or downloaded your music and is distributing it on the internet.
