Umphrey's McGee Shows

I've been into Umphrey's McGee since Anchor Drops dropped in '04. I've had a few shows from that year on one form of portable media or another (Minidisc,...then iTunes/iPod,...shows are 2004-01-10 and 2004-01-30)

I've gotten back on the Archives and have been checking out some Umphrey's McGee from that year and am really enjoying the 2004-04-14 recording.

All the shows I've mentioned are available as Soundboards for free from the archive.org (search em out). You may need mkwact or dbpowerboost to convert them to something your player will play but they are worth a listen if you are into quality jambands.

Unfortunately I've only gotten to see them live once (Here in Spokane in 2009,...the only time they've played here) and while their new stuff is good I love the old classics,...2x2,...Fussy Dutchman,...Glory,...Slacker,...

If you're an UM fan suggest me some good shows,...I prefer soundboards but decent AUD recordings are fine (if they are two bassy or tinny sounding chances are I won't listen to them).

There were also some iPods on the iTunes store that had songs from tours, I do not know if they are still available on iTunes.

the podcast on iTunes...there's like 100 episodes up, each one over an hour long collection of soundboard recordings from the band.
http://bit.ly/UMcast

you can also download the episodes individually from umphreys.com/music (then check out the podcast archive)

the 4/8/08 soundboard on the Live Music Archive is the most recent soundboard up there.

I didn't really dig on the podcast because they are more like highlights where I'm interested in the entire show including segues, banter and reprises.

iTunes does have shows for sale,...but why pay. I downloaded the only UM show I've been which was 2009-10-21 Knitting Factory Spokane. It's an AUD tape but the sound quality isn't bad and there were so few people there that I can hear my wife screaming between songs. So there are good sounding shows for free (including SBDs).
