I try to stay away from current music, but a co-worker just turned me on to these guys. Wow! Its like if Franz Ferdinand or Modest Mouse actually had backgrounds in funk and dance music.

The bass player, David Amezcua really has a command of the groove, and he is dial-ing up some scarey synth-bass tones.

Yea I saw them on tv about a month ago and was blown away. Their bassist was awesome and their drummer and conga player added to it.

They suck. I couldnt hear the bass player with my head stuck against the speakers.

I dont know where you hear the groove but that is the most groovless tune that I have ever heard. it's so bad it makes me want to eat a spoonful of arsenic.
