i really dig the tracks. i never really followed their career, but was really into them for their first few albums...these were all never released? it's always nice to find quality tracks from a good band that were never released. REALLY dig samba nova...i like the chiller stp stuff.

Yeah these were in the STP vaults as left overs.

Nice! Great find by one of the '90s bands that deserved a better rep than they had.

STP seemed to completely re-invent their sound on every successive album, and I heard as much Beatles influence in the later stuff as I heard Zeppelin in the earlier stuff. I won't even touch the Pearl Jam comparisons, as those were simply unfair.

...yet another group of immensely talented, creative guys who were delivering excellent product, only to be derailed, time and time again, by substance abuse problems. I happen to be reading Anthony Kiedis' autobiography right now, and the stories he has to tell in that book really make me think. Alas, he and his band, unlike STP, seem to have found a way through it.
