usb interface

I am tired with my recorded sound
. i use a $20 behringer usb interface. i have to record at such a low volume to avoid distorting. i use audacity, and bring the input level down to zero. but im listening to a song as i record the bass part but i want to play loud enough to hear it. any suggestions for an affordable usb device? or do i need a new soundcard what do u think of the zoom B2.1U?

Sorry, I can't help answer your question, but you might get more helpful replies if you post in the Recording Gear and Equipment forum.

I've tried recording using the mic input on my PC using Audacity and the results weren't good, lol! Now I just use the recorder built in to my Juno G keyboard.

Use energyxt behringer edition.
Never had a problem. Also the .uca222 is the better of the cheap interfaces.
