Okay, most likely a flame is gonna be started.
But i was just listenin to this on the way to work.

Especially the song Work it Out. The bass is very smooth, heaps sweet and sits just right in the mix.

Just wondering what rig/setup the bass player used on this album.

A long shot i agree.. but any help would be greatly appreciated..

I wouldn't be surprised at all if it was a keyboard bass. Damn Rap/Pop/R&B artists, denying our brothers work!

eh? modern Rap and R&B has more full live bands these days than ever. If not on the recordings, then on tour. If anything, more bassists have gotten really hot gigs due to this.

don't know for sure about that track but there is very little if any bass gtr work on that cd also usher's tour band dosn't have a bassist; all keybord or pro tools
