First of all - Mods: If you think this is in the wrong section, feel free to move this thread.
We just released our first demo with our band, ?Verity. Kinda pop-rock, but with a (progressive) twist. It was recorded in Mankku Studios, Porvoo, Finland (
www.mankku.fi). We were looking for an analog, quite vintage-y vibe, so all of you who dig the really produced sound of modern American bands, feel free to skip to the next thread
You can download and listen the songs at

For bass gear geeks:
We used an old fender bassman 4x10 combo mic'd, mixed with Radial DI.
"The Illusionist" was recorded with an Esh Notorious I, the A section of the song has Proco Rat & Boss OC-2 octaver.
"Sheep Race" was recorded with a 70's MusicMan Stingray, strung with flats. No FX.
"The Snow" was the Esh Notorious I again, but the intro to the song was recorded with an old contrabass-balalaika we found in the studio.
All feedback is greatly appreciated.
(Wow, this is my first post in like one hundred years. Gotta start and come here more often)
