First of all - Mods: If you think this is in the wrong section, feel free to move this thread.

We just released our first demo with our band, ?Verity. Kinda pop-rock, but with a (progressive) twist. It was recorded in Mankku Studios, Porvoo, Finland (www.mankku.fi). We were looking for an analog, quite vintage-y vibe, so all of you who dig the really produced sound of modern American bands, feel free to skip to the next thread

You can download and listen the songs at www.myspace.com/verityofficial

For bass gear geeks:

We used an old fender bassman 4x10 combo mic'd, mixed with Radial DI.

"The Illusionist" was recorded with an Esh Notorious I, the A section of the song has Proco Rat & Boss OC-2 octaver.

"Sheep Race" was recorded with a 70's MusicMan Stingray, strung with flats. No FX.

"The Snow" was the Esh Notorious I again, but the intro to the song was recorded with an old contrabass-balalaika we found in the studio.

All feedback is greatly appreciated.

(Wow, this is my first post in like one hundred years. Gotta start and come here more often)
