Finally, a bassist to mirror the personality eccentricities of Buckethead?

That "About" section is completely over the top, but the playing was solid.

The bassist is a good friend of mine and very talented. I was with him when he met Bootsy for the very first time. He realli impressed Bootsy and blew his mind and Boosty immediately took him under his wing.

This isn't Freekbass is it? I've never heard his music, but it sounds like the same story I heard a couple years ago regarding Bootsy's approval and promotion/help.

Jauqo,

I'm gonna try to stay on top of TheeRam's work. I hope that he brings it and hard! No disrespect to Bootsy's other protegé, Freekbass, but studio work has not really moved me. Maybe TheeRam will be different or they will help to raise each others level of funkativity.....

Believe me I fully understand where you're coming from and I can say that TheeRam is bringing the Funk and will bring the Funk with or with out Bootsy's backing. I just know from first hand knowledge that Bootsy is really behind Theeram in a very, very big way.

You know he's GOT to be funky if he is from a parallel universe and the Galaxy NOIZ.

Yeah, Freekbass is sorta quasi-funky. Try Dodge (bassist for Seven Eleven) or The Barry Hank Band (Barry Hankerson) or some Dumpstaphunk.

I purchased his Body Over Mind disc simply based on the fact that Bootsy was involved. It really didn't do a lot for me but I felt that he still deserved some consideration. I can say that the work that he has done since then has been more polished IMO but it just isn't my thing. Others may feel differently.

I like the work of Dodge a lot more. The Barry Hank Band and Dumpstaphunk are on my list of Nu Funk to check out. That is if I can ever stop digging for dusties for a few........

Hmmm... That's Bootsylicious for sure. Great that Casper's out there supporting the young funkateers.

From the clip on MySpace it doesn't seem like he's much funkier than FreakBass. Perhaps they should form a duo i.e. Freak Thee Man or somethng.
