I haven't seen anything on here about this album. I just got it today and I'm diggin it. This is more of a bass-centered album than his previous solo albums, but IMO not in a bad way.

One of the highlights is his version of Coltrane's "Countdown". He plays Coltrane's solo note for note and scats over it - with Ron Carter playing upright bass, walking under him.

This CD is helping to keep my mind of this earthquake situation here! (I ordered through Amazon Japan, specifying the delivery date to be today. I thought they wouldn't deliver it today, considering the earthquake and all, but it came this evening as promised.)
