An innovator with slapping and tapping, hearing sounds in his head and being able to produce them.
All around good bassist. Killer dynamics, knows his stuff, finds the pocket, and never leaves, and one of the nicest guys on the planet.
IMO, he's one of, if not THE finest bassist around today. |

IMO, he's one of, if not THE finest bassist around today. | I agree. Don't get me wrong. I'm just saying that on some recordings, not all, I have trouble hearing him in the mix. Maybe it's just a recording thing. I know he's good, I just want to hear it in the song. Maybe it's just me. But I still don't like his double thump all the time. Not that I should talk, cuz I'm not nearly as good as him and I can bearly do that double thump thing.

To me, Victor as an overall musician is not nearly as good as him as a bass player. |
