The was the original 3-5 song set for the press to promo Jason joining Ozzy's band that was featured in the Bass Player cover story about it - they couldn't have had more than a few rehearsals before it.

...and holy schnickes, is Jason play the crap out of Ozzy's tunes or what?!? It makes me sad that the working relationship that Jason wanted with Oz didn't work out: I've heard that it's because Ozzy returned to Hollywood and "The Osbournes" rather than recording a new album, which Jason was told was going to happen. He looks so happy to be working with one of his heros in the clip.

Nice find!

According to Jason, it was only a temporary thing; playing with Ozzy for the Ozzfest tour and the Canadian tour afterwards. His contract was only to play those dates, before Ozzy found a permanent bassist.

But who knows what the real story was

Wow, seriously diggin' Jason's tone there!

I love how Jason starts to say, "We should all aspire to be as cool as Ozzy when we are as old as Ozzy." But he stops himself, just calling Ozzy cool.

You'd certainly never know from listening to Metallica. $5.98 was the last record where I last remember actually hearing him.

Ah, the joke that keeps on giving...

Have you heard the Black Album? Load/Reload? Garage INC? S&M? Jason is clearly audible on every album aside from Justice

True, but are they "complex just like Justice"?

The joke that keeps on giving...as in the idea that Jason isn't audible in Metallica, solely based on the lack of bass on just the Justice album...

You've lost me. What?

as in the idea that it was just a tongue in cheek statement intended to be humorous. I didn't realize it was going to be challenged or that anyone would particularly take it seriously.

In that case, I believe you might have benefitted from the use of more smilies such as these;

If I'd had any idea that someone would have been sensitive enough about it to leap to his defense enough to use smilies, I would probably have just passed the thread over completely.

Sorry, that joke is just way overused and I'm real tired of hearing it

And I like smilies and think they should be used more anyways
