I guess that's for the OP to decide.

I dug the recording, I feel a nice vocal melody will finish the piece and and just complete the sound of it.

Are you the bassist on the link to "The Critic"? If so, not to be a dick, but there's some serious technique problems going on. It's guitar strumming (Nothing wrong with pick, it's just not the same 100% as playing guitar IME) with thumb wrap around. Thumb wrap around is one of my big peeves of technique, just because it shows ZERO beneficial aspect. It decreases note choice and phrasing. Except in rare cases of complex chords on bass, I'd avoid it.

i suppose i shouldnt leave myself logged in at the band house anymore. who knows what else i might end up loving.

as for the critic and pick playing, yes thats me.
since the video was recorded i feel ive gotten much more used to pick playing, and with this whole new set of songs i actually only use it on one song. im moving back to the fingers.

can you further describe this thumb wrap technique?
i taught myself to play with fingers, and had a few lessons from an old jazz man. from there i started playing with a pick, and simply did what sounded and felt best.

when we used to play the critic i know i made a point out of it to play those verse lines alot harder than i would a normal part. gave an awesome sound.

dont worry about sounding like a dick, im a fan of criticism, especially if it gets me somewhere.

i see now what you mean, left hand as opposed to picking hand. yea i do find myself doing that from time to time, only if i need to mute the low string and im busy with my right hand.

Your band is great. Really like the way the parts go together -- it's obvious you fellas have taken time with your arrangements. It shows.

Any plans to tour this stuff?

as of now no
our van blew up in the driveway, our guitar payer is moving back home to montana in july. so right now were just writing and recording as much as possible.

we dont really see touring as a financially wise thing to do anyway. unless you have the ability to go back often, people will forget who you are, if anyone even comes in the first place.
music scene in jacksonville is bs to begin with.
but we keep ourselves pretty happy just making the music. we really love playing shows and going out but right now were just writing a bunch.
