Video: Dominique di Piazza with John McLaughlin

It's the John McLaughlin trio of 92/93 - Johnny Mac, DdP and Trilok Gurtu.

There's footage of a Berlin concert available in trading circles, but this video clip is from a different performance.

He's sitting on one knee, on the floor. It's common to 'get down'(some pun intended) when playing the Indian percussion (and stringed)instruments, so I guess he just converted his kit instead of having to deal with the cumbersome drum stool.
Awesome footage!

J.M is amazing! So is that guy playing the bass.

I'd like to see J.M. sit in with Jorge Strunz (Strunz & Farah). I went to see S&F earlier this month, and I think J.M. would fit in well, while taking S&F in an entirely new direction.

I dig Di Piazza's Warwick!

Love John's playing to, awesome, Friday Night In San Fransisco is still one of my all time favourite records!
