Cool - it sounds good even through the video camera.

So you've used an ADGC set of strings, and tuned them to EADG? Or have I misunderstood?

Yep. Previously it had LaBella nylon core piccolo strings that were tuned an octave down to (standard) EADG. That was a little too low tension, but I love the feel of very low tension so I did it that way. Worked great!

The camera just did the video actually. The audio came through my soundcard (M-Audio Delta 66) with a nice condenser mic. You can kinda see it, sitting in front of the bass on my leg.

Excellent-sounding instrument. Tuning the strings that way for lowered tension was a good idea. That thing must be responsive as all-getout.

very nice! i had been reading your other thread with interest, and the video is a nice touch...may i ask what video format you used when you uploaded it to youtube? (your video is one of very few i have seen that has video and audio in sync)

Thanks. It was in WMV (Windows Media Video) format when I uploaded. The webcam I have has the option of choosing a different source for audio, so I used my soundcard (with the mic plugged in) for that. I always get great audio through this soundcard, though the video quality isn't the best.
