Well; if you're a Stanley fan, or a Larry Graham fan; or a fan of both(like me), here are a couple of newish vids from youtube.come

Stanley and Larry playing the now obligatory School Days

A song i'm not familiar with, called "Sex Machine". i only know of 'sex machine' by James Brown, so this was something new for me.

Thanks for the clips! I wish I could have been there, it looks like LA. Anyone know for sure? I just saw the Clarke/Duke Project about two weeks ago, and Stanley can still throw down!

Sly and the Family Stone also had a song named Sex Machine, it was on the album 'Stand.' That's the one they're doing. The talkbox bit kinda gets on my nerves, but it's a good song overall. I think that's actually filmed in Japan.

Yes, I'm sure that was filmed in Japan. The large number of Japanese-looking people in the crowd suggest this too.

The School Days clip was great for the way they got the crowd going but it made me think two things:

A. This is the bass riff equivalent of 'Smoke On The Water'...

B. Maybe this is what a black Status Quo might look like - playing funky twelve bar blues...

Can't be true Mike, I could have sworn I heard more than 3 chords!

Just a couple of things: They sound great, but Stanley and Larry are little like oil and water, but they complement each other because they are so different. Larry is all about the groove with some flash, while Stanley is a pure shredder (who has a heck of jazz background!) Another thing is that it is odd that as influential Stanley Clarke is, nobody really copies his tone. I thought about that when I saw him live a few weeks ago. Finally, I picked up Graham Central Station's "My Radio Sure Sounds Good To Me" to learn POW! i remeber that song when I was eighteen, it sounded to fast for me to understand. Now, it was pretty easy to get the riff, but Graham plays at a ridiculous tempo! I know much of his stuff was about 160 beats per minute. Warm up before you play his stuff!
