More songs about Odin, plz

Uhm, what are some good examples? I've heard some supposed Viking Metal... it sounded like... metal... except the songs were about being Vikings and uhm... the sea... and they sounded like drinking songs, but metal.

Is Fintroll Viking Metal? Or are they Troll metal.

Finntroll is awesome, that's what they are.

I think they would still fall under viking metal, though, with their antemic choruses.

Some of my favorites:

I might be thinking of someone else, but didn't you say you weren't a fan of Bathory at one point? If you haven't heard Hammerheart, give it a shot. I'm not a big fan of their early material myself, but Hammerheart is amazing.

Um Enslaved and Bathory arent really viking metal.

Bathory was one of the first black metal bands

Enslaved is black metal with viking metal lyrics.

Fintroll is viking metal, but they are also extremely ridiculous. Watch one of their videos and you will understand.....

Nope, two excellent Black Metal bands though.

It seems a lot of Viking Metal is almost like a metal version of Flogging Molly, in the sense that the choruses almost have a barroom chant type vibe.

Definetly Amon Amarth.

Finntroll is more celtic/folk/black metal.

+1000 on the Finntroll video. Check the site.

I'd love to play in a band like Amon Amarth, bass or guitar.

I think Amon Armath is the band that got me interested. There was some song that the chorus was like "Odin guide our ships." And I'm like hell yeah Odin guide our ships.
