This is a single off Fred Hammond's current CD, Love Unstoppable. Fred only plays bass on two tracks, and this is the best one, IMO. Although the vocals totally dominate (it is Gospel) I love Hammonds' fills and tone on this track!

Wow! That WAS great! I wonder what gear he uses?

I understand he has a bunch of basses, but I think he favors Ken Smith although some of his older tracks were done with Tobias basses.

Yeah I just listened to that song 3 times. I love the punchy mid sound he's getting. It makes me want an exotic bass and I'm a fender type guy.

This Awesome God, a song featuring his concert bassist, Snoop Evans.

Our church music director wants us to learn "They That Wait", which is one of my favorite tracks on the CD! I must admit, I was luke warm with the majority of the CD at first-but its starting to grow on me the more I listen to it!! Sounds like Fred is using a Ken Smith on the that track. Super punchy bass!!!

Yup, that is a very cool tune. I went out and bought the album this afternoon just because of this thread!
